Steph- This is for you ;) haha (Hey.. what ever happened to your Dr Peper. heh, you know I'm kidding. You'll laugh about it some day *wink*)
So I'm finally updating... Its been a month and some odd days so its probably time. Patrick has been gone 4 weeks. Its been a really long four weeks but we are surviving. He is doing really well. His training seems to be going great. He has had some pretty big compliments and seems to be building his confidence. He is working well with his crew and over all seems to in good spirits. I'm so proud of him. He'll tell me something that great that happens and I almost cry because I am so proud.
We miss him terribly and I'm sure we'll have moments where we'll want him home. But I think were going to survive just fine. I'm so proud of Makennah. I almost think she is stronger than myself. Patrick and I both believe that the girls need to grow up strong. They need to grow up believing in our military and being proud of Patrick's job. I want my girls to understand all the good that their dad does for this country and I want them as proud as I am.
Makennah is a daddy's girl but seems to be handling things well so far. She talks about him constantly. A few times she has cried but overall she is doing well. She proudly talks about her daddy being with the Army and how in four weeks for her birthday we'll be picking him up for his pass. I know she doesn't completely understand and at this age she probably wont. But she realizes daddy is working hard and that he didnt want to leave her.
Madeline is to little to understand. I show her pictures daily and she still gets so excited to see them. We talk about him all the time and I try to keep him a really big part of her life.

God's Perfect Woman- A Military Wife---
Seen this on a friend's myspace blog.. Thought I'd post it here before I update :)
The good Lord was creating a model for military wives and was into his sixth day of overtime when an angel appeared. She said," Lord, you seem to be having a lot of trouble with this one. What's wrong with the standard model?"
The Lord replied," Have you seen the specs on this order? She has to be completely independent, possess the qualities of both mother and father, be a perfect hostess for four to 40 with an hour notice, run on black coffee, handle every emergency imaginable without a manual, be able to carry on cheerfully, even if she is pregnant and has the flu, and she must have six pair of hands."The angel shook her head. "Six pair of hands? No way!"
The Lord continued. "Don't worry, we will make other military wives to help her. And we will give her an unusually strong heart so it can swell with pride in her husbands achievements, sustain the pain of separation, beat soundly when it is overworked and tired, and be large enough to say, "I understand" when she doesn't and "I love you" regardless."Lord," said the angel, touching his arm gently, "Go to bed and get some rest. You can finish this tomorrow."
"I can't stop now," Said the Lord. "I am so close to creating something unique. Already this model heals herself when she is sick, can put up six unexpected guests for the weekend, wave good-bye to her husband from a pier, a runway or a depot, and understand why it's important that he leave."The angel circled the model of the military wife, looked at itclosely and sighed."It looks fine, but it's too soft."
"She may look soft," replied the Lord, "but she had the strength of a lion. You would not believe what she can endure.
"Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek of the Lord's creation. "There's a leak," she announced. "Something is wrong with the construction. I'm not surprised that it has cracked. You are trying to put too much into this model."
The Lord appeared offended at the angel's lack of confidence. "What you see is not a leak," he said. "It's a tear.""A tear? What is it there for?" asked the angel. The Lord replied, "It's for joy, sadness, pain, disappointment, loneliness, pride and dedication to all the values that she and her husband hold dear.""You are a genius!" exclaimed the angel. The Lord looked puzzled and replied, "I didn't put it there."
